Do you worship the Devil?

No. While I do not believe/disbelieve in Satan, I have never encountered him.

Do you hold naked orgies at midnight in the woods?

Naked in the woods, in England, no way, much too cold! As for orgies, I've never been invited to one.

Are you trying to convert people to paganism?

Not at all, in common with, probably, most Pagans I respect the right of everyone to find their own path in life. To try and convert someone would therefore be in contravention of that belief. However, I am always willing to discuss my faith when asked, just be warned that once started I might be hard to shut upJ

Are you a witch/warlock?

Well firstly call some Pagans a warlock and you are likely to regret it. Warlock is a term, derived from Old English/Scots, which basically means 'oath-breaker', and this is somewhat like calling a devout Christian a Satanist!

As for witch, I am flattered to be called such, however it is not a title I feel worthy of at present and so prefer to term myself simply as a seeker.

Why the website?

Well initially simply to use the web space that came from my ISP, but latterly as a means to promote awareness of both Paganism and some of my pet topics and also as a means of self expression.

Do you believe in Jesus?

I would say that I don't disbelieve in Jesus or the Christian god; I just don't have a relationship with them.

What does that 'star' mean (around my neck)?

That is a pentacle. To many modern Pagans it is a symbol of their faith. The meaning as explained to me is that the five points represent the five elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water & Spirit) and the circle represents the universe at large and the microverse of the sacred circle; the whole therefore can be expressed as the magic and the mundane together as one.

It is not the only symbol, and some traditions make no use of it at all. It is however an ancient symbol that has been used by many faiths and cultures in history, including Christianity.

Do you have a magic wand and a cauldron?

No wand, I don't feel the need at the moment. I do have a cauldron though it’s only a little one-not much larger than a mug.

<>><<>><<Top>><<>><<>

Do you cast spells?

I do at times of need work magic, however I would refer you to the section on magic under paganism on this site for a more accurate description. Suffice to say it’s neither the rabbit out of a hat card play of the stage magician nor the flash bang glitter special effects of the TV/Film industry. In fact it’s probably nothing like you thinkJ

Are your gods real?

Well to me they are. Whether they are existent beings or figments of my imagination I don't know, but as they seem real it would be rude to ignore them.

<>><<>><<Top>><<>><<>

Do you really see your gods? /and how?

Yes I see my gods, but not in general with my eyes. Sometimes it is more of a feeling that they are there, at others you see something and know that it is really a god - Herne for example may choose to manifest as a stag. More face to face meetings usually occur on a more spiritual level, either in dreams, meditations or during a pathworking or meditative journey.

Do you take drugs?

Only those prescribed by my doctor (generally for angina, asthma and when really, bad-hay fever) or very rarely over the counter remedies/painkillers (aspirin works best for me - though I have been cleared for ibruprofen when I am suffering from gout L)

Is Paganism a religion?

Tricky question, Paganism is more a group of similar faiths and spiritual beliefs though many who do not follow one of the named paths may, rightly or wrongly, describe their religion as Paganism.

<>><<>><<Top>><<>><<>

Why do you think paganism is so badly misunderstood?

Mainly I think because it has been demonised by the Christian establishment over the centuries and now people don't bother to look at what it is really about because the think they already know-but in truth they have no idea L
