Bio:

Kamelion was a robot with the ability to change form and therefore act as an agent of infiltration. Originally, under the mental control of the Master, Kamelion was freed and decided to travel with the Doctor. However due to mechanical problems (and the real life death of his creator) Kamelion was not seen again until Planet of Fire and was once more under the Master’s control. Finally freed, Kamelion begged the Doctor to end its existence before the Master could take over again; the Doctor regretfully complied.

Robots obtained from dead civilisations rarely come with onsite maintenance.
