Bio:

Katarina was a simple handmaiden in Troy when the Greeks laid siege to the city. Believing the Doctor was Zeus in human form, she accompanied him when the city fell. Despite her origins Katarina was not slow to pick up things and when held hostage to force the Doctor’s co-operation, she willingly sacrificed herself by opening the outer door of the airlock she was held in and being pulled unprotected into the vacuum of space

Additional Comments:

The first of the Doctor’s companions to die; from now on viewers could not assume that everyone would get out alive.
