Bio:

K-9 was built by professor Marius of the Bi-Al Foundation as he could not take his dog into space. K-9 is a complex computer shaped in the form of a dog and is capable of interfacing with virtually any cybernetic system he is also equipped with a retracting multi-level blaster. The original K-9 left with Leela at the end of the Invasion of Time, mk2 was built by the Doctor and left with Romana at the conclusion of Warriors’ Gate.

Additional Comments:

The Doctor made further K-9, this Mk3 was a gift to Sarah and featured K-9 and Company and briefly in The Five Doctors.
